When is the February half term?

In England and Wales, the February half term is a one-week break in the middle of the spring term, usually in mid-February. Schools are typically off from Monday to Friday, giving nine days including the weekends. The council sets the week for most schools, while academies and other schools that set their own dates may choose differently.

Scotland and Northern Ireland

In Scotland the February break is shorter: most councils give a mid-term break of a few days, often a long weekend. In Northern Ireland, schools also have a short mid-term break in February, with the exact days set by each school.
